Yesterday, sitting in the backyard after a full afternoon and evening working with my intern preparing the office and materials for a busy summer, I realized what a different life it is living in the middle of a bustling small suburban New Jersey town and how much I love it! I grew up in a small local town where we lived on top of one another and I have spent forty years looking for more space.

After years of living on bigger properties, or backing on parklands or water, it is very different being in the middle of busy town life.

Loud music blared from the baseball field on the next block and it felt comforting and lovely.

Continuous traffic up and down our 25 MPH Street was a feeling of abundant life.

Eighty-degree days and sixty-degree nights with windows wide open and birds singing twenty-four hours feels luxurious.

Church bells and tunes and the NYC train a few blocks away reminds me of the many lives we live together in one small town and where it takes us.

We each live in our own dream.

Each home, business or car hold people and families with a variety of perspectives on what life in this moment, this place and this body means.

We each have our own movie and story about ourselves and the world we live in.

There is no right or wrong, good or bad and each one is uniquely diverse in its perspective.

For many years I wanted to have quiet and was a bit overwhelmed by noise and lots of people and felt the anxiety and fear in many and did not want to be a part of it.

I thirsted for the quiet and was somewhat annoyed by noise.

Now with a quiet mind and open heart all sounds are melodious and nurturing.

It took some adjusting to the sounds and lack of privacy, and yet the simple activity and people enjoying their lives in a small town after one-year is quite comforting.

Even the sirens and fire trucks and emergency vehicles speak of being cared for, instead of bad things happening.

I am experiencing being all one, instead of alone in my head and my heart and my life, and it feels delicious.

I remember how much everything is attitude and how it all begins with us.

It is amazing how the adventure of our life leads us to new places to experience life anew.

Enjoy the journey,
